Hi there! I'm Vera.

I'm an author, an artist, a multi-passionate creator. My work often consists of quietly observing everyday moments. And of long walks where I listen as much to the whisper of nature as I do to the countless stories lingering all around us.

To live on this earth as a human is, if you think about it, a very bizarre and wild circumstance. I love to make the experience called “life” palpable through my art. For this, I use perhaps the most ingenious tool a human being has: imagination, weaving fantastic elements into our familiar reality. The magical and the inexplicable are vital in my work. Magic serves as a constant reminder not to accept anything as definitively set in stone, to shed our blinkers, and to guard against saying: "This is the only way, and it can never be otherwise!" The unexplained encourages exploration. And that keeps us truly awake.

I don't strive for mass output; instead, I honor the natural flow of creativity and consciousness. My passion lies in crafting what is honest and authentic.

Educational Background

• Several semesters of Comparative Literature at the University of Vienna.

• Diploma program in Classical Music and Opera Singing at the Richard Wagner Conservatory in Vienna.

• A one-year course in Creative Writing led by Annika Bühnemann.

• A self-taught skill set in drawing, painting, illustration, graphic design, and video editing.
